Welcome to the Lobo Australian Shepherd Association of New Mexico website. This affiliate club of the Australian Shepherd Club of America, Inc. was formed in the year 2000 in the state of New Mexico primarily for the purposes of preserving, promoting and showcasing the working and herding instincts plus capabilities of today's and yesterday's stockdogs. Membership is open to owners of all-breeds. Lobo members can be found working their dogs on ranches and farms, trialing competitively in arena and field work with their stockdogs, hosting clinics, serving as clinicians, and competing in other disciplines such as conformation, obedience, agility, rally plus a few donating their time in search and rescue and therapy work.
You'll find within the club membership: stockdog judges, conformation and obedience judges, hall of fame breeders, and dog lovers from all walks of life. Members of Lobo mentor and cheerlead each other in all competitive disciplines and in the love of dog ownership and those ownership responsibilities. Comaradarie is readily apparent within the membership and friendships and membership spill over into other states.
Upon joining Lobo, you'll receive a package family of supporters and great friends. Don't wait for a special invitation; pass this on to your friends, and you and they can come join us. You can be as active as your time allows. We must warn you, however; we are addictive!
